HOPS Water polo

Welcome to HOPS Water Polo!

HOPS is a coed masters water polo club in Houston, TX
that normally trains twice weekly at the Univ. of Texas Health Science Center Rec Complex at 7779 Knight Road and
competes at various local, state and occasional national competitons during the year.  Some training sessions may be
scheduled at other pools, but will be announced.

2013 Practice Schedule:  (beginning Feb. 4) Mondays/Wednesdays  -   7:30-9:00 PM   @   UTHSC Rec Center   (may be modified on a case by case basis, check calendar) Sunday Scrimmages    -   Plans for monthly  (each will be announced) *see calendar for full schedule details Additional Info All club members attending practice sessions MUST: 1. Be current with club dues (we've gotta pay for all this somehow!) 2. Hold current registration with USA Water Polo (it's a liability thing)

Rainout Plan

Weather is always unpredictable, if inclement weather is expected for weekly training sessions, an email will be sent to the group list by 5:00PM that day if any cancellation or change has been decided.  We will screw this up occassionally since the weather changes hourly, but the Board use best judgment by 5pm to avoid member's wasting their time if bad weather will likely close the pool during practice hours.  If you are unable to access email after 5pm, please call any HOPS Board member or email hopswaterpolo@earthlink.net to inquire.  There will be no rainout cancellation email for Sunday scrimmage sessions, so please use your best judgment or call a HOPS Board member to inquire.
